A day at Doulos
The OCFers visited Doulos (made 1914) on 16 Aug 2008. Here are a group of photos. If you wanna see more of this old historical vessel, be sure to click the link provided at the end of this blog. Doulos will sail into history come 2011 and perhaps a new vessel will take over its mission. The crew told us that the vessel will have its dry dock procedure this December when it dock in Singapore. Given the age of Doulos (94 this year), our guide said something at the beginning of the tour, "The makers of Titanic said even God couldn't sink and We say only God can keep Doulos afloat." In case you wasnt aware this old vessel had only 1 engine and modern ships had a couple backups.
